What's new.

A short note for every Walk Habit release, newest first.

Workout controls and goal management updates

  • After tapping End, you can choose "Keep Walking" to continue the same workout. If you tapped by mistake or want to walk a little longer, the timer resumes without saving a new record.
  • You can mark a specific date as a rest day while keeping your repeating goal schedule. One-off rest exceptions are reflected in stats and goal achievement calculations.
  • The Goal screen now shows this week's total goal time and actual walking time, including any date-specific rest exceptions.
  • The timer now makes it clearer how much time is left, when your goal is reached, and how much extra time you have walked.

Smoother workout flow and stats accuracy

  • Fixed an issue where starting a second workout on the same day made the timer pick up at 30:01 instead of restarting. Each session now begins at 0:00, while today's total minutes still aggregate in Stats and the result screen.
  • Lock Screen / Dynamic Island (iPhone) and notification (Android) timers also restart from 0 for each new session.
  • Fixed the weekly and monthly stats so navigating back to a previous week or month now shows the bars that were actually recorded — instead of an empty graph.
  • Monthly stats now count rest days (goal = 0) toward your achieved count — they're part of your plan. Work out on a rest day and that day turns purple too, as bonus credit.
  • Daily workout reminders are smarter — they automatically skip rest days (goal = 0) and any time today after you've already hit your goal. Your reminder schedule stays the same.
  • A monthly storage cleanup tip appears at the top of Stats — a gentle reminder when photos and videos may be using device storage. "Don't show again" hides it permanently.
  • Quieter polish since the last release: a photo-only entry no longer shows up as a fake 0-minute session on the home screen, the lock-screen timer no longer flickers when you pause and resume, and Live Activity reliably clears itself after a force-quit.

Highlights of this update

  • A short Walk Clip video — 2 seconds at the start and finish stitched into one — saves to Photos so you can share that day's walk with friends or on social media. (iPhone & Android)
  • Active walk progress appears on the Lock Screen and notifications: iPhone Dynamic Island (iOS 16.1+) and Android notification (with a status bar progress chip on Android 16+). Pause, resume, or end your walk straight from the notification.
  • Switch freely between selfie (front) and back camera when taking photos — capture scenery, objects, or yourself however the moment fits.
  • Every template and unlimited GIF creation is free, regardless of support. The in-app purchase is reframed as a voluntary way to support the solo developer.
  • Reporting a problem is one tap — Settings > Report a Problem, or any recent error entry, auto-attaches diagnostic info. If no mail app is available, the app shows a fallback message instead of erroring.
  • A recovery prompt lets you save an interrupted timer session or a pending Walk Clip start cut. iCloud backup keeps only the latest copy and restore is more reliable.
  • A weekly date selector and expandable Recent Sessions on Home make reviewing/editing past records natural, and you can set a start time for manual records. Album photo deletion and other flow details were polished as well.
  • Refreshed copy tone and overall design feel. Broad Android stability across Photos saving, email reporting, ad display, alarm permissions, and data migration.
