Privacy Policy
Effective Date: May 4, 2026
Futureseed ("the App") values your privacy and complies with applicable data protection laws. This Policy explains what information may be processed through the App, why it is used, how it is retained or deleted, and what rights users have.
Article 1 (Information We Process)
The App can be used without account registration. For service operation, the following information may be processed:
- User-entered data: goals, reflections/thought notes, keywords, action plans, and settings such as reminders and language
- Device-stored data: local data required to provide app features
- Cloud backup data: if the user initiates a backup, goal and record data is stored in the user's own cloud account (iOS: iCloud, Android: Google Drive App Data folder). This data is stored solely in the user's own account and is never accessed or retained by the developer.
- Payment-related data: minimum status data required to confirm purchase entitlement
- Advertising and stability analytics data: non-identifying data such as Device ID, Advertising ID, product interaction, advertising data, and crash/performance data
- Inquiry and ad report data: if the user directly sends an email inquiry or ad report, information provided by the user such as email address, message content, attached screenshots, app version, platform information, and related details
Article 2 (Purpose of Processing)
- Providing goal and record features
- Providing notification features
- Providing cloud backup and restore features only when explicitly initiated by the user
- Enabling premium features and reflecting purchase status
- Serving ads in the free version
- Stability analysis and feature improvement
- Handling user inquiries, reviewing ad reports, service operation, and dispute response
Article 3 (Retention and Deletion)
- App data such as goals, records, and settings is stored locally on the user's device in principle.
- If the user uses the cloud backup feature, backup data is stored in the user's own cloud account. That data is governed by the respective platform's policies, and the developer cannot access or delete it.
- When the backup feature is used, a local backup cache file may be created on the device before or after cloud upload. If the user deletes in-app data or uninstalls the App, that local device cache may be deleted, while cloud backup data may remain separately.
- If the user deletes/resets data in-app or uninstalls the App, locally stored data may be deleted immediately and may be difficult to recover. Cloud backup data, if any, may remain separately.
- Information sent through email inquiries or ad reports may be retained for the period necessary for handling the inquiry and dispute response, and will be deleted after the purpose is fulfilled unless retention is required by applicable law.
- The developer does not retain user-entered data on its own servers.
Article 4 (Third-Party Service Providers)
The App may use third-party SDKs or platform services for ads, payments, cloud backup, and app stability/analytics.
- Data that may be processed: Device ID, Advertising ID, product interaction, advertising data, crash/performance data
- Purpose: third-party advertising, analytics, app functionality improvement, and cloud backup
- Example services: Google AdMob, Apple/Google billing platforms, Apple iCloud Key-Value Storage, Google Drive App Data folder
Data handled by third-party services is governed by each provider's privacy policy.
Article 5 (User Rights and Privacy Choices)
- Users in the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland, where applicable, may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict processing of, and withdraw consent for their personal data.
- The free version of the App may serve ads through Google AdMob. In connection with ad serving and measurement, identifiers such as Advertising ID or Device ID may be processed by Google and parties involved in Google's ad-serving services.
- Depending on region, consent choices, platform permissions, and ad availability, the App may serve personalized ads, non-personalized ads, limited ads, or no ads for a period of time.
- On iOS, the App may request App Tracking Transparency permission. ATT is separate from privacy choices that may be required under GDPR or applicable U.S. state privacy laws.
- Where available, users can revisit advertising-related privacy choices through the App's in-app "Ad Privacy Choices" entry point.
- Users covered by CCPA/CPRA and certain other U.S. state privacy laws may have rights to opt out of the "sale," "sharing," or use of personal information for targeted advertising. The App does not sell personal information for monetary consideration.
- If required consent choices are not yet completed, some ad requests may be delayed or unavailable until the required privacy flow has been completed.
Article 6 (Third-Party Disclosure and Sharing)
- Except for the third-party services stated in this Policy, the App does not provide or outsource personal information to third parties without user consent.
- Cloud backup data is stored in the user's own Apple or Google account, not on the developer's servers.
- If users explicitly use email inquiry, ad report, or in-app sharing features to send information to external email apps, SNS, messengers, or platforms, the receiving service's terms and policies apply.
Article 7 (Policy Updates)
This Policy may be amended due to legal, service, or SDK changes. Material changes will be notified through in-app notice or app updates.
